Kiki’s Wedding

We celebrated Kiki’s wedding in January 2024. The color scheme was red, gold, black and white. Everything turned out beautifully and so much of the decor was from Amazon. All the flowers were fake and you couldn’t even tell. The arch on the stage for the ceremony was a Gold frame arch that had to be assembled but was pretty easy. Then White sheer fabric  was draped over and around the frame and Fake flowers with fabric attached with binder clips! We used fabric and fake Rose garland for aisle sides draped down the side of the chairs and a roll of paper White aisle runner down the center.

Bridesmaid bouquets

For the reception we wrapped all the pillars in the room with white Christmas lights. Every round table had a white table cloth. The centerpieces were fake red rose balls and twinkling fairy lights on top of a gold runner with fake rose petals scattered around. Each seat had a gold place setting with customized bottle opener magnet with each guests name on it for their seat and favor. We used gold premade utensil napkin rolls and gold trim plastic cups.

The chairs were all covered with white chair covers and red sashes with a rhinestone embellishment.

The Photo Booth was a huge hit. We put this together all on our own using an app called simple booth on a personal ipad. We did have to pay for a one month subscription on the app in order to get unlimited use for the wedding but it was inexpensive.

We used Flood lights for extra lighting and a ring light to hold the ipad. Guests were able to walk over and click a button with a countdown and take a set of three selfies with the bride and groom and other friends. The photoboorh backdrop was gorgeous and there were photo props to use too.

We used barn door backdrops around the room at different tables. Each table was covered with a red tablecloth and red skirt. There was a hot coca bar with marshmallows, candies, whipped cream and sprinkles. Root beer barrels, lemonade drink dispenser and sweet tea dispenser.
The guest book was a game called cads against matrimony that guests were able to answer a question then have a chance to win a prize depending on which card the bride and groom thought had the best answer.

The bride and groom had a sweetheart table with a Mr and Mrs backdrop behind them.

Nothing Bundt cakes were served for dessert along with a special cake for just the bride and groom to smash into each others faces. A great celebration was had and all the wedding set up was planned by the bride using Amazon products!

Emmas 2nd birthday

We had a Disney themed costume pizza party for Emmas 2nd birthday.Emma was Anna, dadda was Olaf, and mama was Elsa.
Emma also wanted to be Elsa so she had an outfit change.
We decorated with different Disney themes. We used green streamers for seaweed and put little mermaid decorations up.
My sister in law made the cake like a blue castle with Disney characters placed around it.
The appetizers were based on different Disney movies too. Mr potatoes head chips from toy story, stuffy the dragons salsa from doc mcstiffins,
Jake the pirate cannonballs were meatballs in the crockpot, hooks pirate swords were sword toothpicks with grapes on them,
Minnie's cheese and donalds quackers, doc mcstuffins apple slices, Stitchs Hawaiian pineapple, hundred acre woods pretzels, Svens carrots from frozen, Pirates booty for jake the pirate, pluton hot diggity dogs were hot dogs in crescent rolls, and rainbow goldfish were in a plastic goldfish bowl with a Finding Nemo label and skewers with pictures of the fish from finding nemo.
We had doc mcstuffins and Minnie Mouse table cloths and frozen and Mickey pictures hung on the walls.
Out front we had balloons to show where the house was.
Little mermaid balloons.
Emmas grandma made treasure chests with jellybeans and gold coins for the table center pieces.
We had a kale the pirate piñata.
We had Anna's knockout punch from the scene in frozen where Anna punches Hans and we had Flounders lemonade from little mermaid.
We also had adult drinks in a cooler outside and the utensils were labeled Scuttles dinglehoppers from little mermaid.
We hung toy story decorations from the ceiling where the pizza was being served from "pizza planet" Costco pizza.
Pizza planet Costco pizza!
Outside there were pumpkin pails for the kids to decorate with stickers and use to collect their piñata candy since Emmas birthday is the weekend before Halloween.
Doc mcstuffins balloons in the backyard.
All the adults sat at the table to eat while the kids played in the backyard.
The kids played with bubbles and whatever toys were outside.

Emma and her best friend were also Anna and Elsa together.

They loved the piñata. Jake party supplies here
Emma opened her gifts and we had cake. Everyone had a great time.

The one with the Babyshower

It just so happens that I love the show Friends and I had the opportunity to throw a FRIENDS themed babyshower today with my friend and coworker Kaitey for our lovely friend Ivanna.

We planned the shower based on the theme of the Central Perk coffee shop in Friends. Which means, all the drinks and food needed to be things that would be sold in a coffee shop. We offered coffee, tea, orange juice, lemon water, and cucumber water to drink and we put out a bunch of coffee mugs and cute tea cups to drink out of.

We had mini scones, lemon cookies, coffee cake, and fruit parfaits to eat. For the parfaits there were strawberries, peaches, raspberries, granola, and blueberries for topping light and fit plain yogurt. We were also going to have mini quiches but we forgot to put them out! Oops! On top of the coffee cake we had a small orange dollhouse couch that resembled the couch from the show but I didn't get a picture of the coffee cake after it came out of the oven. The coffee cake was a huge hit though!
On the food table we used yellow plates and bowls to coordinate with the yellow in the central perk sign as well as the frame Monica has on her door in the show. We also hung yellow Pom Pom garland over the food table and above one of the couches where guests sat and had fresh flowers out like in the episode where Rachel has a babyshower.
We used several central perk logo signs throughout the room.
The logo was even on the favors. We put chocolate covered coffee beans in tiny yellow to go boxes and glued on the logo. We were also going to have cute little thank you labels on them that said "thanks for be-an here" but we ran out of time.
We put a central perk logo on a chalkboard and hung it on the front door. The baby sock clothesline was a great addition because in the episode where Rachel has a babyshower, there is a clothesline of girl clothes hanging on the door. Our friend is having a boy so fancy girl clothes were out of the question but how cute are tiny blue socks.
We put a chalkboard in the front of the house so guests would know where the shower was being held. The chalkboard was written on to look as if the shower was an episode on Friends.
We played several games such as guess how many peanuts are in the jar. Ivanna called her baby peanut before she named him so what could be more appropriate than whole peanuts. We measured lengths of twine to guess how big mommy's belly is and we played a guess how well you know mommy game. We also played a Friends trivia game with 20 abcd questions. The trivia game was tough for guests who had never seen the show but we tried to incorporate easy and hard questions. The ultrasound image in the frame was our guest sign in where guests could sign on the matting around the image. Lastly, we laid bibs out on the table in the living room for guests to decorate for baby peanut.
There were different prizes for the games. One was a candle with coffee beans around it, another was a basket with bath items, and the others were coffee cups with manicure sets and nail polish in them.
The mom to be had a great time as did all of the guests. This was such a fun theme to use for a babyshower! We had so many ideas, I wish we could've done even more to make it feel like the central perk coffee shop from Friends but everyone loved this babyshower!
